Applying labels at 80,000 per hour on Segerdahl's direct mail finishing line

Chicago-area Segerdahl Group produces brochures, catalogues, newspaper & magazine insert and mailers. John Romita, Segerdahl's VP Manufacturing, purchased a PowerStick label applicator in 2008 to meet the needs of a major health care client.

As the article "Pushing the envelope" in Labels & Labeling's Aug/Sept 2010 issue explains, the PowerStick applicator is used to apply labels inline on Segerdahl's direct mail finishing line. Quoting from the article:

"The PowerStick applicator has now been working seamlessly in Segerdahl’s in-line finishing operation for over 18 months. Romita says, ‘we are really happy with the support we received to adapt the PowerStick to our production environment. ... the machine is fantastic.’ ...
